"Producing Immersive
for Good"

Hello there! I'm Phoebe. I am a creative technologist with 5+ years of experience in combining strategy, creativity and technology into a “swiss-army knife” skill set with a proven track record as a individual contributor spearheading rapid prototypes and end-to-end processes for audience-centered interactives, including XR/VR/AR story worlds, IRL experiential events, and learning video games.

“I’m a self-taught engineer” is redundant. As a people manager versed in driving cross-functional collaboration on teams ranging from 4 to 32 people, I encourage an engineer spirit which is to not be afraid to delve into ambiguity to build from zero to one. Before I began developing all things immersive, I started making indie educational games, where I quickly picked up skills across the pipeline in order to create consistency. Coming from the 2D screen software world, I began fabricating combat robots, where I learned that the limitations and scope of the physical world prioritized experimentation to intentionally ground imagination in reality.

I love novel technology, but I believe there is nothing truly "new" under the sun. I'm often found on teams bridging conversation between subject matter experts. First, I use my superpower to carefully listen to the different needs of stakeholders, clients, and audiences. Then, I draw associations between emerging technologies and timeless human crafts, such as tabletop roleplaying games, traditional paintings, mechanical engineering, film production, and more, for inspiration that creates clarity in the chaos of the iterative process for evergreen products that aren’t just consumed – but lived in and with.

What is "good"? For me, it is not about the “what”, but the “why.”  I've collaborated on projects with NASA, Dell Technologies, Netspend, Texas Advanced Computing Center, Texas Immersive Institute, Keep Sugar Land Beautiful, and many more. At the core of these experiences is drawing a web—not just between disciplines but between people—so that stories can emerge from a shared, living experience.

If you've made it to the end, thanks and nice to meet you!
